The sound quality is the same when running the plug-ins on either on a SoundGrid (SG) server or on the local CPU, however, adding an SG server can benefit the sound quality because it allows more CPU room (you can use both your computer CPU and the SG server) which can open the studios door for better sounding 96Khz projects.
