 NI's Kore system promises to unify yourlibrary of software instruments and effects, creating the mother of allworkstation synths or multi-effects units.

Native Instruments' Kore is an integrated software andhardware system that acts as a universal 'front end' to other VST/Audio Unitsinstruments and effects installed on your computer. Plug-ins are hosted withinthe Kore software 'shell', which appears as a plug-in in your sequencer,or runs as a stand-alone host. Kore plug-in instances, or thestand-alone host, are controlled with the hardware unit. In addition toproviding a standardized hardware control system, and a means to constructpatches from multiple plug-ins, Kore has a powerful patch and presetcataloguing system, creating a centralized database of all the sounds andeffects at your disposal.
